The Original Pizza Chief

First time trying this place and we loved it! The new Hawaiian pizza and hot mamma pepperoni pizza was bomb!

Haven't been to Pizza Chief in almost 30 years. It was the ONLY place open on Ventura, California. It was Christmas Eve and we were hungry. We saw the open sign and knew what that meant. It was the best pizza I have had in a LOOOOOOONG time. Thank you.

This is now my favorite pizza joint. I ordered a medium pizza, half with pepperoni and half with sausage. It was the perfect size for me, my husband, and our toddler. We finished the entire thing. The sausage was incredible. The order was ready quickly. We will definitely be coming back. Update: The wings are also great - full of meat and not fatty like so many other places.

Definitely my favorite pizza spot in Ventura. The pizza toppings are always fresh and dough is delicious! Cool benches outside are a nice place to chill out and have lunch.

This place is a childhood hallmark for me. It will forever be in my memory as long as I live. My dad would order pizza from here when we were kids. It was a priceless experience. As far as the pizza, it’s a great quality pizza! Best in town for me. Pizza chef combo is the one to get if you like all those toppings. It brings out the flavor. Or just pepperoni if you like the simpler things in life...

I have made it a habit to eat here every Friday and this last visit was a treat more so than usual because i was able to talk to the owner of the past 33 years and learn some history! Mark Kenyon is his name and the single coolest fact i learned was that he is also a local bee keeper and the sugar used in the dough is actually honey from his bees. Awesome! The service is always super friendly and the food is always just what i wanted. I had the pesto with garlic and basil this evening and it was perfect. I actually have enjoyed every thing I’ve ordered in the past, so much so that i am on a mission to try everything on the menu. I’ll be there next Friday for sure, and the following, and so on! Thank you!

A small corner pizza spot, that undoubtedly serves the best pizza in the neighborhood. Max is absolutely the best, from taking orders, making the pizza, and hand delivering it straight to my kitchen counter while my hands are completely full with twin infants. This place is my absolute favorite go to, the other "local" pizzas don't even compare in my opinion.

Family owned goodness! Super stoked we tried this place! Maxwell (son) is passionate about creating a great pie with fresh ingredients and a fun atmosphere! Next time you are in the mood for pizza, give The Original Pizza Chief a try, AND dont forget to get a freshly baked cookie for desert :)
